An A-Rod Six Pack of Thoughts
It’s amazing how when one story goes away, another comes along to fill the void. Now that football is done until the fall, I wondered what could fill its big shoes. Can you say A-Roid?
- I believe A-Rod when he says he took steroids.
- I don’t believe A-Rod when he says he doesn’t know what specific steroid he took.
- I don’t believe A-Rod when he says he only took steroids from 2001-2003.
- I don’t believe A-Rod when he says he took them because he felt pressure to perform with the $250M contract he signed with the Texas Rangers.
- I don’t believe A-Rod has “come clean” for any other reason than because he knew he was caught and is trying to spin the story for sympathy.
- I don’t believe A-Rod will make the Hall of Fame in my lifetime.

THERE IT IS!

I can’t believe A-Rod lied to the wonderful Katie Couric! A-Rod is just the newest addition to the “Liars Club”.
If A-Rods motivation for taking sterioids is that he merely needed the ‘help’ to perform up to the high level of expectations then how did he lay of the juice when he was signed by the Yankees? There is no harder place to play ball in the world so going with his logic he would have had to up his intake. No? I think the A-fraud comments coming from his teamates are starting to make a little more sense.
Does the fact that you are a MET fan and despise the Yankees factor into this sentiment? I think he lacks people skills because he was thrust into stardom and given a bunch of money at an early age. I can see that he struggles to articulate his thoughts and is often misunderstood. He lied. He took roids but so did many. Who cares? Do we know if what he took really helped him perform better? His numbers are consistent for the last 15 yrs. Hard to tell. Do we boycott Pamela Anderson, Sly Stallone shows and movies because they had enhancements to their body to attract more viewers? Is 20million dollars worth of taxpayer money worth deciding the fate of one’s hall of fame status? This topic just isn’t sexy anymore. It’s just an opportunity for haters to sound off.
